User Guide

Welcome to GlaShield!
This app is designed to support your glaucoma treatment. Let's easily track your daily records and help manage your precious eye health.

1. For First-Time Users (Initial Setup)

About Notification Permissions

To ensure the eye drop alarms work correctly, notification permission is required. When you first save an alarm setting, a notification permission dialog will automatically appear. Please tap "Allow".

Note: If alarms are not working properly, please check notification permissions in your device settings. For Android 12 and later, additional "Exact Alarm" settings may be required.

Understanding the Main Screen

At the bottom of the screen, there are four main buttons (tabs). Tap these to navigate to each feature.

① Medical Visits

Record your hospital examination results.

② Medication Records

Record your daily use of eye drops.

③ Medication Alarms

Set alarms to remind you of your eye drop times.

④ Settings

Change various app settings.

2. How to Use Medical Visit Records

Purpose: To record your hospital visit results and track changes in your eye pressure.

Viewing Records

Tap the "Medical Visits" tab to see a list of your past records.

Adding a New Record

  1. 1 Tap the round "+" button at the bottom right of the screen.
  2. 2 When the input screen appears, fill in the details (hospital name, eye pressure, etc.).
  3. 3 Finally, tap the "Save" button.

Editing or Deleting a Record

  • ✏️ On the list screen, tap the "Edit" button next to the record you want to modify.
  • 🗑️ To delete, tap the "Delete" button and select "Yes" in the confirmation dialog.

3. How to Use Medication Records

Purpose: To record your daily eye drop usage and confirm you haven't missed any.

Adding a New Record

  1. 1 Tap the "Medication Records" tab.
  2. 2 Tap the round "+" button at the bottom right.
  3. 3 Enter the time you took the medication and any notes, then tap "Save".

Editing or Deleting a Record

Similar to medical visits, use the buttons next to each item in the list.

4. How to Use Medication Alarms

Purpose: To set an alarm so you don't forget to use your eye drops at the scheduled time.

Adding a New Alarm

  1. 1 Tap the "Medication Alarms" tab.
  2. 2 Tap the round "+" button at the bottom right.
  3. 3 Set the medication name, the time you want the alarm to ring, and tap "Save".

Toggling Alarms On/Off

On the list screen, you can temporarily disable an alarm by tapping the switch next to it.

Editing or Deleting an Alarm

On the list screen, use the buttons next to the alarm you want to modify or delete.

5. What You Can Do in Settings

Language Switch

You can switch the display language between Japanese and English.

Other

You can check the app's version information.

How to Edit Records

If you entered incorrect information, you can modify it using the "Edit" button next to each item on the record list screen. Use the "Delete" button if you want to remove a record completely.
